ÅŒtsutsuki Invasion
Right after discovering Boruto’s cheating, Momoshiki and Kinshiki ÅŒtsutsuki attack the village. Naruto immediately initiates measures to protect the villagers and the exam participants. He joins forces with Sasuke Uchiha to resist the ÅŒtsutsuki, who aim to use the Nine Tails inside Naruto to create a new God Tree and obtain the chakra fruit.
Naruto sacrifices himself to save everyone in the stadium hosting the ChÅ«nin Exams from a massive attack by Momoshiki. He takes the blow using Kurama’s chakra for protection but gets captured and sent to another dimension to extract his chakra.
Search and Rescue
Boruto joins Sasuke and other Kage in a rescue mission to save Naruto. Throughout this ordeal, Naruto remains resilient, even when things look grim. Once freed, he teams up with Boruto and Sasuke to defeat Momoshiki. The Kage are captured by Momoshiki, but Naruto and Sasuke fight him as a duo. In the end, Boruto is the one responsible for the final blow with a giant Rasengan. After the battle, Naruto recognizes Boruto’s immense potential and forgives him for using the Scientific Ninja Tool, expressing pride in his son’s performance.
Kawaki Arc
In the Kawaki arc, Naruto plays a significant role in integrating Kawaki into Konoha and protecting him from Ishiki and Kara.
The Discovery of Kawaki
Naruto first meets Kawaki when Team 7 finds the boy unconscious and brings him back to Konoha. Given Kawaki’s connections to Kara and his karma, Naruto takes personal responsibility for the boy. He takes Kawaki into his home, providing a safe environment while keeping a close watch on him.
Assimilating Kawaki into Konoha
Naruto understands Kawaki’s troubled past and lack of trust in others. He tries his best to make Kawaki feel at home in Konoha. Though hostile and suspicious, Naruto remains gentle and patient. He introduces Kawaki to his family—wife Hinata, son Boruto, and daughter Himawari—showing him a life filled with love and affection. Through Naruto’s family dynamics, Kawaki experiences a supportive and caring household for the first time, and Boruto and Kawaki become like brothers.
Protecting Kawaki
Naruto is determined to protect Kawaki, who Ishiki wants to use as a vessel by implanting karma. Jigen straightforwardly attacks Naruto’s house to capture Kawaki, leading to a fight between Naruto, Sasuke, and Ishiki. Unfortunately, Naruto and Sasuke lose, and Naruto gets sealed. Thanks to his Rinnegan, Sasuke retreats using a portal.
Fight against Jigen
Later, Ishiki makes another invasion attempt on Konoha, capturing Sasuke, Naruto, and Kawaki. Boruto takes them and Ishiki to another dimension to avoid endangering Konoha. Sasuke and Naruto soon join them, leading to an intense battle with Ishiki.
Naruto begins the fight by engaging Ishiki in Kurama Mode. He creates shadow clones to attack and confuse the Otsutsuki. While Ishiki is focused on the clones, Naruto grabs him with the Nine Tails’ chakra, creating an opportunity for Sasuke to use his Chidori. Although this strategy is effective, Ishiki counters with Daihakoten. Naruto manages to evade, but Sasuke is forced to use Amenotejikara. Ishiki then takes advantage of the large cubes, catching Sasuke by surprise and attacking him. Naruto, worried about Sasuke, is caught off guard and receives a series of blows. After recovering, Naruto engages Ishiki in taijutsu, but Ishiki uses his shrinking ability to pierce Naruto with eight rods, seemingly defeating him.
In the end, Naruto unleashes Baryon Mode, which grants him immense power and speed. Each hit he lands on Ishiki shortens the Otsutsuki’s life, but the cost is Kurama’s life. Despite the sacrifice, Naruto successfully defeats Ishiki.
Having been saved from Jigen’s jaws, Naruto resumes his duties in protecting Kawaki and the village. He continues to train the boy further, doing so with lots of patience, enabling him to integrate into Konoha to manage the still-lurking dangers posed by Kara and the ÅŒtsutsuki clan. Never once does he slack in his resolve to be responsible for, and take care of, Kawaki.
is naruto dead in boruto?
Using Time-Space Ninjutsu, Kawaki sealed Naruto and Hinata in a dimension where time stands still. He did this to keep Naruto safe from immediate threats and to hide him from powerful enemies. This act showed Kawaki’s loyalty, as he was determined to protect Naruto, even in twisted ways like breaking up his family and separating him from the village.
Although Naruto will not appear in the story for a while, he is just sealed and not dead. The flashback at the end of Boruto implies that Naruto is still sealed. Kawaki tells Boruto, “I’ll send you where I sent the Seventh Hokage, Boruto,” indicating that Naruto has a great chance of surviving until the end of Boruto.
